ATRIA Rises from 'Ground Zero' with New EP

Emerging from the ashes, ATRIA is here...
London, ON's ATRIA is ready to climb the musical ladder with a lineup revamp and a refreshed sound on their second EP, set to launch this August 2023. Aptly titled 'Ground Zero', the EP follows their 2018 debut, 'New World Nightmare'.
The band's dynamic ensemble now includes drummer Jerad Sterling (Tortured Saint), lead guitarist Brody King, and bassist Joe Mullen, who join the original team of vocalist Tom Emmans (Odium, Deathpoint, Choices, Scaithe) and guitarist Tim Ross. Once again, ATRIA has partnered with producer Jon Howard (Threat Signal) to sculpt their trademark anthemic metal sound. Emmans opens up about their musical evolution.
'As our sound has grown more aggressive, we've strived to fuse melody, anthemic choruses, and brutality. We believe we've achieved this balance with 'Ground Zero'. Lyrically, the EP explores my anger towards myself and the world. I delve into this rage, hoping to find catharsis, despite the pain. We want our fans to feel a sense of purging frustration as they journey through 'Ground Zero' from start to finish.'
The EP also includes their 2022 hit single 'Antiheroes', a track that earned ATRIA the 'Best Metal' award at the 2023 Forest City London, ON Music Awards. With a nod to the likes of Slipknot and In Flames, 'Antiheroes' confronts a loss of faith in governments and media.
'In 2022, I watched the world crumble, witnessing division, deception, and hatred from all political corners. It led me to question our humanity, our government, our religions, and ourselves. 'Antiheroes' is the anthem born out of this introspection.' Emmans adds.
Known for their heavy yet infectious music, ATRIA has performed alongside The Agonist, Goatwhore, The Casualties, and Threat Signal, among others. They plan to tour Eastern Canada later this year in support of their new release.
Fans of Mudvayne, Soilwork, and Killswitch Engage are sure to find ATRIA's upcoming 'Ground Zero' EP appealing. The EP releases on August 18, 2023, and can be pre-ordered at https://atriaofficial.bandcamp.com.
