Carbon Black is set to release their third album, We Remain, on May 6. Now, just ahead of the impending official release, the band has released the first single of the record, "Under Order", featuring Tim "Ripper" Owens.
Carbon Black is an Australian band that brings a heavy, spacey sound to the world of heavy metal. "We Remain", the new album from Carbon Black, delivers 7 songs that range from melodic and deeply personal to engaging and energetic, often switching between the two within the same song. Attempting to capture what you might imagine his own version of the perfect record would sound like, Carbon Black takes aim at something far more ambitious than just yet another modern rock record.
The album was by mixed by Kevin “Caveman” Shirley (Dream Theater, Silverchair, Iron Maiden) during the lockdown in his studio in Sydney, Australia. Recording sessions were engineered and produced by Lachlan Mitchell (Nazxul) at Parliament Studios, Sydney. Mastering was overseen by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Clutch) at West West Side, NY. The Album artwork and animation is by Mike Morphett (Mortal Sin, Alcatrazz).
