Coming this August, CELESTIAL SANCTUARY is set to launch their second LP 'Insatiable Thirst For Torment' via Church Road Records.
Today, the band presents the second single from the highly awaited album. 'The Lurid Glow of a Dead, Burning Body' features CELESTIAL SANCTUARY's most hard-hitting riffs to date.
Frontman and guitarist Tom Cronin shared his insights about the song:
'This is about a person who realizes they have an obsession with the sight and smell of a burning body. To satisfy this strange craving, they adopt a vigilante role, finding pleasure and fulfillment in it at the same time.
I sense the album as a whole has a quicker tempo than our previous work. It's generally faster, and I dare to say it leans towards the thrashier side of death (NOT a death thrash record!!!). This record embodies that feeling the most, I would say. And that breakdown towards the end of the song? It's my new favorite riff to play. Can't wait to see heads banging to that.'
