FORGOTTEN TOMB premieres 'A Chill That You Can’t Taint'
FORGOTTEN TOMB has unveiled a new single, 'A Chill That You Can’t Taint', from their forthcoming album 'Nightfloating', set for release on July 12th via Agonia Records. The track, which showcases some of the most personal lyrics from frontman Ferdinando 'H.M.' Marchisio, reflects the urban malaise characteristic of the band's esteemed material. Accompanying the release is a lyric video that captures the essence of the song, enhancing its haunting and atmospheric qualities.
'Nightfloating' marks a significant chapter in FORGOTTEN TOMB's history, emerging four years after their acclaimed album 'Nihilistic Estrangement'. This new project revisits the band's depressive black metal roots while infusing a modern perspective shaped by over two decades of experience in the genre. 'Nightfloating' explores a spectrum of dark themes through tracks like the intense 'This Sickness Withered My Heart' and the intricate 'Unsafe Spaces', alongside the unexpected 'Drifting', a dungeon-synth piece, and the epic 'A Despicable Gift'.
The album art, created by Greek artist Satta La Main Verte, complements the music's dark thematic core, mirroring the record's exploration of introspective and misanthropic terrains. As FORGOTTEN TOMB celebrates its 25th anniversary, 'Nightfloating' stands as a testament to the band's enduring legacy and innovative approach to black metal.
