Pulverised Records is proud to announce the third full-length release of Swedish Deathers BASTARD GRAVE, entitled “Vortex of Disgust”. This will be their most ambitious record to date and will be released on March 10th 2023.
"Necrotic Ecstasy" is the first single from the group's upcoming album and it's sure to please fans of the genre.
BASTARD GRAVE has made a name for themselves as one of the most extreme and inspiring forces in the extreme metal scene. Their first two albums, “What Lies Beyond” (2015) and “Diorama of Human Suffering” (2019) have garnered overwhelming praise from fans and critics alike for their uncompromising approach to death metal. With “Vortex of Disgust”, the band has taken their sound to an even higher level, delivering a relentless and crushingly heavy album that teeters on the edge of chaos.
“Vortex of Disgust” is a staggering display of technicality and brutality that is sure to leave fans in awe. The record showcases BASTARD GRAVE’s ability to craft crushing riffs and atmospheres that will take the listener on a dark and twisted journey. From the opening track “Sunder the Earth” to the closing “Vortex of Disgust”, the album is packed with haunting melodies, devastating breakdowns and relentless aggression.
The band members themselves were responsible for recording the album, with the exception of the drums, which were recorded at The End Studios by Ulf Blomberg (Exhale, Crawl, Age Of Woe, Inevitable End, etc). Mixing and mastering were supervised and directed by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studio (Autopsy, Chaotian, High On Fire, Atrament, etc.), while German artist Thomas "Necromaniac" Westphal was responsible for the artwork on the album's cover (Cryptic Brood, Morbific, Deserted Fear, etc).
