Fresh on the prog metal scene, TEMIC has just released an engaging drum playthrough video of their debut single, 'Count Your Losses'. This is an invitation to witness drummer Simen Sandnes (Shining, Arkentype) demonstrating his striking drumming skills. Fans can now access this masterpiece on the Season of Mist YouTube channel. The track is a thrilling sneak peek into their forthcoming debut album 'Terror Management Theory', slated for a November 17, 2023 release through Season of Mist.
Simen expressed his excitement on the release of the drum play-through video for TEMIC's debut single. Sharing how the track marked a significant journey for him, it was the first demo that Diego sent his way three years ago. He was amazed at the fantastic reception it has gathered so far. Notably, recording this track was akin to an 'audition' for the band, pushing him to demonstrate the full spectrum of his drumming skills.
In the band, TEMIC, we find Fredrik Bergersen (Maraton, 22) providing the vocals, Eric Gillette (The Neal Morse Band, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress) on guitars and backing vocals, Simen Sandnes (Shining, Arkentype) on drums and percussion, and Diego Tejeida (Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, ex-Haken) on keyboards and sound design. They also enlisted guest musicians like Jacob Umansky (USA) for the bass guitar and Mosaic Gospel Choir (Norway) and Garden State Threshold Choir (USA) for 'Mothallah'.
