THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER unveil haunting single 'Mammoth’s Hand'
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER have unleashed 'Mammoth’s Hand', the second single from their highly anticipated album 'Servitude'. The track, which is accompanied by a visually captivating music video, draws heavy inspiration from the 1982 sword-and-sorcery film 'The Beastmaster'. The video is set to premiere today at 10 AM (EDT).
Brian Eschbach, who has taken over lead vocal responsibilities following the tragic passing of Trevor Strnad, shared insights into the song's creation: 'We often like to showcase the diversity of the album with the first two singles. Ryan Knight [guitars] composed this track, and its slow rhythm evoked images of barbaric warriors riding mammoths through snowy landscapes, reminiscent of the Jun horde scene in ‘The Beastmaster’.'
'Mammoth’s Hand' immerses listeners in a fictional frozen world where a clan of nomadic, mammoth-riding cannibals lay siege to villages in a pre-technological era. The track's slow groove, a rarity for THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, conjures a vision of a slow-moving yet colossal and menacing beast.
The album 'Servitude' is set to drop on September 27th via Metal Blade Records. To celebrate the release, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will co-headline a tour with Dying Fetus, joined by Spite, AngelMaker, and Vomit Forth.
