200 Stab Wounds have released the whole of their Welcome To Rockville set, filmed on 10 May in Daytona Beach and published through Kerrang's K! Pit series.
Thirty minutes, uncut. Festival footage normally reaches the public as one song with a sponsor logo in the corner, so a full set is worth noting, and the delay says something too: five months is long enough for the film to work as promotion for the next record rather than for the festival.
That record is Lowest Form, eight tracks, out on 19 February through Metal Blade. Arthur Rizk produced, mixed and mastered it, with artwork by James Bousema, and it follows Manual Manic Procedures.
Before it arrives the Cleveland band go out with Whitechapel, Sylosis and Tribal Gaze, opening on 22 January at Hellraiser in Leipzig.
The sequence is deliberate. A band with one well received album behind them and a second one five months away needs the live reputation doing the work in the gap, and half an hour of professionally shot footage is cheaper and more convincing than any amount of press about how heavy the new record is.
