Aborym release Metachaos tomorrow, 25 September, through Avantgarde Music.
Nine tracks, opening on Red Latex Baphomet and closing on Voci Notturne, the only title on the record in Italian. Avantgarde has the title track out as a video. The longest piece is Altar of the Lacerated at 5:49; the shortest is the title track itself, at 3:09.
It is the ninth Aborym album and the first since Hostile in 2021, the longest gap between Aborym albums so far. The line up that arrives with it is not the one that made the last: Munholy took over guitars and Atum the drums in 2025, and Fabban is the only name that has been there the whole way, credited since 1992 with vocals, bass, keyboards, programming and samples.
The band formed in Taranto in 1992 and has spent thirty four years between two tags, one at either end of the same idea, which is why it keeps turning up both in the industrial black metal story and in the Italian one.
