Adversor have released "Totem of Doom", from This Mortal Coil, their fourth album, out on 6 November through Selvajaria Records.

The song is about obedience. Dado, who sings and plays rhythm guitar, describes it as a response to people who give up their own judgement to whoever holds power, and his concern is less with the leader than with the crowd that stops asking questions.

Twelve songs follow that line through authoritarianism and violence into more private ground, loss and uncertainty about who you are, with a running worry that societies forget their worst history faster than they should.

Musically the band have widened out. The thrash is still the frame, with the Kreator influence anybody could name, but there is death metal, black metal and traditional heavy metal in it now, and more melody than the Vicenza band used to allow themselves. They have been going since 2015 and have shared stages with Exciter, Nifelheim, Protector and Discharge.
