Anagnorisis have released Caregriever on Vendetta Records. Eight songs, and the tracklist is doing something.

Read it in order: "Choke", "Nothing Left To Give", "Nothing Left To Take", "Death Of Man", "Death Of Men", "A Living Grave", "Monuments In Ash", "Death Of Me". Three of those pairs are one word apart, and the last one turns the subject inward. A record about caring for somebody dying, named by a band who have spent their career writing about family rather than about myth.

They started in 2003 as a black and death metal band and have ended up somewhere past post black metal, which in their case means the screaming is still there and the structures have stopped repeating. Four albums in twenty three years is a rate that tells you none of these are made quickly.

Two of the songs were out already, "Choke" and "Nothing Left to Give", released as singles earlier this year.

Vendetta Records have the album. No tour has been announced around it.
