Angra played Deep Purple's "Burn" at Full Metal Japan 2026 with Kiko Loureiro, Edu Falaschi and Akira Takasaki of Loudness on stage with them. The festival ran on 24 and 25 October at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama.

Loureiro and Falaschi both belong to earlier chapters of the band, and both left years ago. Takasaki is the outside name on the list. Loudness formed in 1981 and reached an audience outside Japan in the 1980s, most of all with Thunder in the East in 1985, which makes him one of the few Japanese metal guitarists the rest of the world knew first.

The set moved across the catalogue: "Nothing to Say", "Carolina IV", "Nova Era", "Heroes of Sand" and "Rebirth". Two covers sat in it besides the Deep Purple one, Queen's "Teo Torriatte" and Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights". The night finished with "Carry On".

Japan has been a steady market for the band since Angels Cry in 1993, and the guest list reads as a nod to that rather than to any announcement.

Full Metal Japan 2026 also carried Michael Schenker Group, Stratovarius, Powerwolf and Pretty Maids.
