Four cellos and a game studio, which is less of a stretch than it sounds. Apocalyptica have released Upperhand, a song written for the game Control Resonant and used as its title track, with guest vocals from Katrine Stenbekk of Kalandra.
Stenbekk sings in the register Kalandra built its own records on, clear and unforced, which sits against the cellos rather than trying to ride over them. The band have written to a brief before, and a game that wants a title theme is closer to that work than to an album track.
