Archgoat are streaming Nightbringer, Lightbringer in full ahead of its release on 11 September through Debemur Morti Productions. The eleven-track album is up on the Black Metal Promotion channel.

The Finnish band are in their thirty-seventh year and the foundation has not moved: first wave black and death metal with punk hostility, primal thrash and grindcore underneath it. What is new sits on top. The album brings in atmospheric synthesisers, melodic guitar leads and occasional lower-gain arpeggios, and the production is cleaner than on some of their earlier records, letting the instruments separate without softening the weight.

It was recorded in February at Malmi Dungeon with Teemu Velin. The cover is by Chris Moyen, who has been drawing for this band and this scene for as long as it has existed.

The tracklist opens with "Invocation 666" and runs through "The Dawn to Armageddon", "Iconoclasm the Nazarene", "Blood of Jesus Spilling Upon the Earth" and "The Stygian Millennium".
