Armory have put Echoes of the Astrolith online in full, two days before Dying Victims Productions release it on 23 October.
Streaming an entire record before release is a decision about who the audience is. For speed metal on a label like this one, the people who will buy it are the people who will listen first, and hiding the album from them for forty eight hours gains nothing.
The band have worked out of Sweden across eight releases and four albums now, in the strain of speed metal that kept the heavy metal melodies rather than drifting into thrash, which is exactly the territory Dying Victims have built a roster on.
No singles campaign preceded it in the usual sense, and the full stream is the announcement. For a band with four albums behind them, that is the confidence of knowing the record will be judged as a whole or not at all.
