Artificial Brain have released "Planet: Carrion", the second song from Antillia, which Profound Lore Records put out on 13 November.
The album was recorded and mixed by Ian Jacyszyn, who has worked with Miasmatic Necrosis and Aeviterne, and mastered by Colin Marston, whose name is on a large share of the records this corner of death metal has produced in twenty years. Fleshflies did the artwork.
The band describe a record about loss and surrender, with the title track written as an address to a homeworld given up to the void. That is the register they have worked in since the beginning, except that the science fiction has stopped functioning as a place to put hope in.
This is the line-up that came together after the move to Richmond and the arrival of Mike Paparo, with Dan Gargiulo and Oleg Zalman on guitars, Samuel Smith on bass and Alex Tomlin on drums.
