Asgrauw have released "Nadirflux", the song that closes Solips, three weeks before the album itself arrives on 12 November.

Giving away the last track is an unusual choice. A closer is written to be arrived at, and hearing it first takes that away, so a band only does it when the song works alone as well as in place.

The record runs eight tracks and is built on a single question: whether anyone's understanding of the world can reach past their own perspective. The title points at solipsism and the band have not pretended otherwise, which for a second wave black metal record is a narrower subject than the genre usually allows itself.

They have worked as a trio out of the Netherlands since 2010, in the second wave manner, and three labels are putting this one out between them: Zwaertgevegt, Hidden Marly Production and JEM's Label. "Schaduwganger" and "Confabulatie" came first, which leaves the middle of the record as the only part still unheard.
