Assumption have a third album. Paradox of the Arrow arrives on 13 November through 20 Buck Spin, on LP, CD and digital, and Tombs Upon the Sun is out from it now.

Six tracks: the title track, A Labyrinth In Ruin, Tombs Upon the Sun, Southwards Our Spirits Shall Forever Drift, Selenite and Vrykolakes. The label's own description is worth quoting because it is unusually precise about what this band does: they have treated death doom less as a monolith set in stone than as a space in which mass, duration and atmosphere can be manipulated. The album title points the same way, at the arrow of time and the paradox of it, and a band that names a record after that is telling you the tempo is the subject.

They formed in Palermo in 2011, released Absconditus in 2018 and Hadean Tides in 2022, and have spent the four years since spread between Treviso and Bologna.
