At the Gates have released a full-length animated film for The Ghost Of A Future Dead, the album they issued in April through Century Media Records and the last to carry the voice of Tomas Lindberg, who died in September 2025.
The film is the work of Costin Chioreanu, who has worked with the band for years and who painted, filmed, edited and produced the whole of it. Animated videos for "The Dissonant Void" and "In Dark Distortion" appeared earlier in the campaign. The remaining ten songs now have theirs, and all twelve run together as one piece in album sequence.
"This is by far the most intense project I've done, not only due to the circumstances but also because the album is so intense," Chioreanu said. "It is also the first time that I am doing a full album art video and, honestly, I think it will remain singular of this kind in my career. But I am so happy that I could finish this monument for my friend Tomas and for his magical band."
The album was recorded and mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Orebro, with artwork by Robert Samsonowitz. The line-up on it is Lindberg on vocals, Anders Bjorler and Martin Larsson on guitars, Jonas Bjorler on bass and Adrian Erlandsson on drums.
Opening track "The Fever Mask" was released earlier with a separate memorial video assembled by Patric Ullaeus.
