A record that shows its ending first is an odd way in, and Azarath have chosen it: Herald of the Unseen, the first single from Scorn Eternal, is the tenth and final track of the album it announces. The Polish band set the record for 20 November through Agonia Records, six years after Saint Desecration.
The video is built from live footage shot at this year's Summer Dying Loud Festival rather than from a set, which fits a band whose reputation has always been made on stage. The line-up behind it is the one that made the last album: Skullripper on vocals and guitar, Bart on guitar, Peter on bass and Inferno on drums. Inferno, who also plays in Behemoth, wrote the orchestrations, and they are the reason the band describe the new songs as reaching for something wider than the death metal they have kept to for close to thirty years.
Recording ran at Sound of Records Studio from December 2025 to May 2026, with mixing at Studio Wieloslad in June. Haldor Grunberg of Satanic Audio engineered, mixed and mastered it. Marta Prominska of Hypnagogic Art painted the cover.
