Bees Made Honey in the Vein Tree have released a video for Clutching at Straws, and the first thing they say about it is that it is theirs, not a cover of the Marillion song.
It leads In Between Strides, the Stuttgart band's fourth album, out on 18 September through Magnetic Eye Records.
"I wrote the main riffs of 'Clutching at Straws' on acoustic guitar while I was working on another song of my own," said singer Simon Weinrich. "When we hit a period of creative block, I just suggested we play those riffs at a rehearsal. Once we added the effects they immediately took on a different energy."
