Beltez release their fifth album on 4 December through Vendetta Records, and it carries the band's own name.
A self titled record this far into a catalogue is usually a statement about identity rather than a lack of ideas, and the first song supports that reading. Gebahren der Unvernunft, which is roughly the conduct of unreason, arrives with a lyric video and is sung in German, as most of what this band do has been.
They formed in Cologne in 2002, went quiet, and came back in 2015, and almost everything people know them for has come since that return. The label line about the most focused and fierce work yet is what labels say, but the two records either side of this one were genuinely their best, so there is some ground under it.
Vendetta have carried a good deal of the German black metal that does not fit the Scandinavian template, which is the right address. The album lands in five weeks.
