Black Altar have premiered a video for "Qliphotic Death Acolyte", the second piece from XXX Years ov Rituals Upon the Black Altar: 1996-2026, which Odium Records release on CD on 30 November.

The record is a strange shape for an anniversary release. It is not a compilation and not a new album either: newly recorded songs sit alongside the band's own picks from thirty years of discography, all of it remastered, so the thing runs as one piece rather than as a chronology. "Infernal Damnation" was the first song from it.

The label calls the new song an invocation of what lies beyond order, creation and light, and a descent into the Qliphothic realms where death, transgression and forbidden knowledge meet. Black metal press releases have sounded like this for three decades, which in this case is the point: the band have been doing exactly this since 1996, out of Olsztyn in northern Poland, and the register has not shifted.

Pre-orders for the CD and a shirt are open through Odium's own shop and its Bandcamp.
