Black Trip have filmed a live in studio session for "REVOLUCIÓN", a song from Balas de Honor, and Slam Worldwide carried it as an exclusive.

The arithmetic is the story here. The band formed in Mexico City in 1997 and Balas de Honor, out this year, is their second full length album. Twenty nine years, two albums, and nine releases in total counting the singles and the shorter records in between.

That is a particular kind of career, and it is more common in Latin American metal than anywhere else: bands that never stop and never quite get the run at it that a label would give them. The melodic death metal they play is the Scandinavian strain, written in Spanish, and a song called "Revolución" on an album called Bullets of Honour is not hiding where it comes from.

A live session is also a statement of a kind. A band with one album in twenty years and a new one this year has to prove the record was not built in a studio, and the cheapest way to do it is to play the thing with the cameras running.
