Blackened will put out Pantheon Of The Fallen early in 2027, on their own, with more information promised shortly.
It is their third album and the third one nobody is paying for. The Aftermath in 2018 and Voices from the Void in 2022 both came out the same way, which in crossover is less a hardship than a habit: the style was built by bands who pressed their own records and sold them at the door.
They have been going since 2014 out of Paris, after a demo called Terrorize, and what they play sits where thrash and hardcore meet, fast and short rather than technical.
Four years between albums is slow for a band at this level and about right for one whose members have jobs. The title suggests the usual thrash subject matter, which is to say the end of something, handled at speed.
No date beyond early next year, and no tracklist.
