Blackment, Pandemonium Portrait cover

Blackment release Pandemonium Portrait on Friday, 18 September, through Inverse Records. It is the Finnish band's second album, after Plains of Oblivion in 2022. It was first announced for June and then moved to September, because the production of the last five songs took longer than expected.

There are thirteen tracks, including "World of Gods" with Hille Sadehelmi as a guest and the closing bonus track, "In the Dark", which shares its name with the band's 2016 release. Three of the songs, "Ghost in the Machine", "Pariah" and "Freedom Fall", were already released as singles in 2023 and 2024.

The first new single was "In Motion" in April, a song of under three minutes that guitarist Allan Välimaa described, when it came out, as "just enough to make you want to listen to it again". "Afterlife" followed in May and "Pulsar" in August.

Sami Vuorenheimo sings, Saalas Ruokangas and Allan Välimaa play guitars, Väinö Huhtanen bass, Sebastian Nyandoto keyboards and Akseli Aalto drums. The album is out digitally and as a limited CD digipak.
