Body Prison have signed with Greyscale Records and dated their new EP. A Waste Of Good Suffering arrives on 20 November, and Jesus Wept is out from it now with a video, featuring Dane Evans of To The Grave.

Five weeks between a signing and a release is short, and it tells you the record was finished before the deal was. Labels at this level usually announce a band and then wait half a year for something to sell; a dated EP in the same breath as the signature means Greyscale bought a thing rather than a prospect.

Greyscale is a Melbourne label and Body Prison are a Melbourne band, which makes this a local arrangement rather than an export. The four of them are Daniel Macdonald on vocals, Tom Cadden on guitars, Nicholas VanVidler on bass and Frankie Demuru on drums, with Until Madness from 2023 behind them.

Metal Archives has no entry for the band at all, which is what its policy on deathcore produces and not a statement about whether they exist.
