Bokkerijders are streaming Crush Kill Destroy in full, a day before Personal Records release it. It is the Ghent band's first album.

Eight songs, opening with "Ashen Scream" and closing with "Fire Chaser", and the longest title on it, "Locked in Gilded Chains are the Guillotine's Blade", tells you roughly where the band stand on restraint.

Five years separate the band's formation in 2021 from this record, which for black metal is unhurried rather than slow. A demo came in 2022 and the EP Silver Dust and Swords of Gold in 2023, so the debut arrives with an audience already in place and nothing about it rushed into being.

Putting the whole thing online the day before release is a small label's only real weapon. Personal Records cannot buy attention on a Friday that already has two dozen albums on it, so they give the record away for a day and hope the people who hear it stay.
