Broken By The Scream play North America next spring, from New York City on 27 April to Oklahoma City on 11 May.
The band are four singers and nothing else on the roster: Tsubaki Nanaougi, Shizuku Mikogami, Yayoi Takayashiki and Io Nozukidaira, trading growls, screams and melody between them over a band that does not front itself. That arrangement is why they sound like nothing else on a European festival bill.
They have earned the American dates. The European and British run this year played mostly sold out rooms and finished on the Louder Stage at Wacken, which is a main stage and not a novelty slot.
Japanese bands of this kind have been written about abroad as a curiosity for a decade. Selling out a continent and then booking a second one is how that stops.
Tickets are already on sale for the confirmed dates, and Parallel Universe is the most recent song.
