Bruce Dickinson is releasing a remixed version of Accident Of Birth, his 1997 solo album. It arrives on Saturday 17 October to coincide with National Album Day in the United Kingdom, and worldwide on 23 October. The remixed "Omega" is streaming now.
The original was his fourth solo record and his second with Roy Z, and it sounded nothing like Skunkworks before it. Adrian Smith played on it, at a point when both men were out of Iron Maiden. It is the one that gave him "Man Of Sorrows" and "Road To Hell", and it is usually the one people name when they argue his solo work stands on its own.
The remix was done with Brendan Duffey, who worked on The Mandrake Project in 2024 and on the reimagined Balls To Picasso in 2025. This is the third time in three years that Dickinson has gone back into his own catalogue with him.
It is being issued on double splatter vinyl, CD, and a vinyl and CD bundle, with pre-orders open now.
