Chuck Billy's memoir comes out on 10 November. Holding My Breath: The Two Testaments Of Chuck Billy goes out through Permuted Press, with a foreword by Rob Halford and an afterword by Randy Blythe, and the Testament singer will appear at three events around it.
The first is on Thursday 29 October at Changing Hands Bookstore and Bar in Phoenix. The second is on publication day itself, 10 November, in Seal Beach, California, at a venue still to be named, with the broadcaster Jose Mangin and the comedian Brian Posehn. The third is on Saturday 14 November at the Back Lounge of the Metal Community Bar in Dublin, California, with Phil and Marta Demmel and Posehn again.
The subtitle is the part that tells you what the book is. Two testaments: the band, and the cancer he was treated for in 2001 and survived, which is the dividing line in his own account of his life. Halford and Blythe are both authors in their own right, Blythe twice over, so the apparatus around the book is not decorative.
Testament's own year resumes on 18 November in Monterrey and runs through Latin America into December, with a British and European arena run from March 2027.
