Cold Raven have released "My Dark Passenger" through Ad Noctem Records, with a video made by Moviedel.
The band explain the title as something other than a horror image. "The Dark Passenger becomes a metaphor for a spiritual rebirth through the acceptance of the shadow," they said, which is closer to the introspective side of Italian black metal than to the anti clerical noise the country is better known for abroad.
They formed in Milan in 2013 and have two albums out, Equilibrium and Chaos in 2015 and In Tenebris Silvam in 2020, with a live record from a 2016 concert in between. The singles have come steadily since: "Screams of Dissolution" in 2022, then "The Specter" and "Veil of Apotheosis" last year.
Tenebrio has sung for them since 2018, Haures has played guitar since the beginning, Selvans joined on the second guitar in 2020 and Johnny Phaser took the bass in 2022.
