Cordyceps Corpse have released Perverse Craving For Rotting Corpses through Gore House Productions, with two songs pushed out alongside it: Forced Out of Existence and Ishmael's Demise.

The project is Nani Porter's, and she plays it. Three years from starting to a second album is a pace only a one person operation can keep, and in slam it is the normal pace: the writing, the recording and the artwork all happen on the same desk, so nothing waits for anybody.

Her description of the lead song is refreshingly free of mythology. It opens on slow drawn out chords, then explodes, and the words were written to be wild and a little crazy. She thinks she managed it, which in a genre that takes its titles very seriously indeed is close to honest.

Gore House Productions is the right home for it. The label deals almost exclusively in this corner of brutal death metal, and a record this violent needs the kind of audience that is already looking for it rather than one that needs convincing.
