Corrosion Of Conformity have put Good God / Baad Man out again in a Dolby Atmos mix, which went up on Apple Music on 6 November.
The work was done at Sweetwater Studios, and while the band were there they recorded two songs live in the room: Baad Man and Lose Yourself. Those have been issued separately as Sweetwater Throwdown, with footage of the performances alongside the audio.
A spatial mix of a record built on guitar tone and room sound is a stranger proposition than it is for a symphonic band, and the two live tracks are the useful half of the exercise. A studio performance with no overdubs is the closest a listener gets to hearing what this band actually sound like in a room, and after four decades that is still the argument for them.
They are on the road through November in the United States, with dates running from Virginia Beach on the day of the release to the middle of the month across the south and the midwest. The double album remains their current record.
