Crimson Coven have revealed Children of the Same Sun from I - The Forge, their first album, which Cruz Del Sur Music release on 9 October.
Nine tracks: The Forge, Crimson Coven, Sacrament of Shame, The Birth of the Serpent, Lockheed Electra, Children of the Same Sun, Crowns of Greed, Cold Dawn Arrives and Unleash the Kraken. The band play epic doom with the heavy metal still showing through it, the Spanish end of a lineage that runs back through Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus, and the song lengths suggest they are not interested in the twenty minute version of that.
They formed in 2023 and the only thing before this was a demo, 0 - The Genesis, last year. One demo to a Cruz Del Sur signing inside a year is unusual, and the label has a long record of picking this kind of band early. All five members are credited by a single initial.
