Dana Burnell has stepped down as the drummer of Crimson Glory, and most of what he wrote is about what did not happen.
"This personal decision is solely mine, and it is certainly not easy for me to walk away, especially with the incredible new lineup we have built," he says. "I want to clear up any speculation immediately: there is absolutely no rift in this band. We all love each other, get along fantastically, and genuinely enjoy each other's company, jamming, and playing shows together. The chemistry between the five of us is amazing, and it is just a completely positive situation."
Writing that much denial into a departure notice is usually a sign of how a band's history has trained its audience, and this band's history has trained it hard. Crimson Glory have been assembling and losing line-ups since Midnight's death in 2009, and every change since has been read as a sign of the end.
No replacement has been named. The rest of the five are still there.
