Cronian's debut album Terra is being pressed on vinyl for the first time, twenty years after its release. M-Theory Audio puts it out on 13 November in a coloured edition called "Iceolated Existence", limited to 300 copies worldwide.
The project belongs to Øystein G. Brun and Andreas Hedlund, who play in Borknagar and who started Cronian in 2005 for the ideas that did not fit there. Working in home studios, they built records where synthesizers, orchestral arrangements and film-score instrumentation sit at the centre of atmospheric black metal rather than decorating it.
The reissue is mastered by Dan Swanö, whose credits include Edge of Sanity, Katatonia and Evergrey, and comes with a four-panel insert carrying new liner notes by Brun about the album and how it was made.
Terra was followed by Enterprise in 2008 and Erathems in 2013.
