The album is called The Shadows We Buried, it arrives on 29 January, and Crownshift named it a few hours after putting out the song that announced it.

Nine tracks: The Portal, I Will Give You War, All Hail The One, The Shadows We Buried, In The Dead Of Night, Gone Before Tomorrow, Behold The Crown, Fuel My Curse and Until The Silence Falls. The single is track five, in the middle, which is where a band puts a song it trusts rather than one it needs to sell the record with.

One more than the self-titled debut, which ran to eight. That record built its reputation on choruses and on the fact that four musicians out of Nightwish, Children of Bodom, Wintersun and Finntroll had made something that sounded like none of them.

Three years between albums is a reasonable pace for a band whose members all have other work. The titles suggest the same territory as the debut, melodic death metal with the progressive edge kept under control, and the January date puts it in the quiet stretch where a record like this gets listened to properly.
