Cruzada will release Leyendas on 22 January through Art Gates Records, fourteen tracks including a bonus called "Motiu (Titanes)".

The band formed in Tarragona in 1984 and put out a demo two years later, and then the record that follows it in their discography is Titanes, from 2022. That is the shape of a Spanish heavy metal career that went quiet for decades and came back, and the new album is built around looking at it: the band describe Leyendas as a journey through their own history, each song set on a different figure or battle.

The tracklist nods to the fortieth anniversary of "Corriendo en la Noche", which places the song squarely in the years right after they started. Nico Weber, who has illustrated the band's albums before, put the Sage and the Titan on the cover, two figures the band read as defenders of their own values.

Franky Martos and Paco Martos wrote the music, and the band produced the record with Moera Records. What they were after, they say, is a sound at once classic and modern, which is the stated aim of nearly every band that has waited this long to make a second record.
