Cryptorium have released "Concrete Interment" from Through the Bowels of Ceaseless Dissonance, which Transcending Obscurity Records put out on 30 October.
Four years from forming to a second album, with ten releases in between, is a rate that tells you what kind of band this is. Since 2022 the Swedes have put out a demo, a debut album, an EP, a live record and five singles, three of them this year and all three on the new album.
Ten tracks, an intro, and titles that leave nothing to interpretation. The record ends on "Consumed by the Eternal Rot", and "Concrete Interment" sits eighth, which means the label is pulling from deep in the sequence rather than leading with the obvious one.
What they play is Swedish death metal in the Stockholm sense, dissonant rather than melodic, and the label is the one that has spent a decade finding bands like this before anybody else does.
