Crystal Ball have released "Good to the Bone" through Massacre Records.

Thirteen albums since 1998 and almost no recognition outside the German language market is a particular kind of career. Switzerland has produced two bands everybody knows and a long tail of groups like this one, working the same festivals year after year, selling enough to keep a label interested and never crossing over.

The music explains part of it. Crystal Ball sit exactly on the line between heavy metal and melodic hard rock, which is a crowded place to stand, and the bands who escaped it usually did so by going harder or going more commercial rather than by staying put.

Massacre have carried them for most of those records, which in a market this small counts as a vote of confidence rather than a formality.

Nineteen releases in all sit behind them, thirteen of them albums, and the song comes with no album announced around it, which for this band has usually been the first sign that one is coming.
