Crystal Eyes have released "Metal Bound", the first song from Thunder God, their ninth album, which Massacre Records puts out on 30 October.
On the surface it is science fiction: humanity leaves a wrecked planet and goes looking for another one. Underneath it is the other story this band have been telling since 1992, which is that the music itself is the thing worth carrying off the burning ship.
They come from Borås and have spent three decades on melodic, riff led heavy and power metal without once pretending to be doing anything else.
