Thirty-three years and the band still writes about the same wound. Cultus Sanguine have released My Wounds Are Eternal, the second song from Tears Painted Sky, which My Kingdom Music put out on 9 October in a deluxe edition, on CD, LP, tape and digitally.
Gianfranco Logiudice directed the video, as he did the one for the first single, When Silence Devours. Joe Ferraro, who has led the Milan band since 1993, put the song plainly: it is about wounds that never close, and about pain that does not disappear with time but learns to live inside you.
The band formed in 1993, stopped in 2001 and came back in 2018, and have kept the gothic and doom mixture they built the first time rather than updating it. Dust Once Alive in 2023 was their first album of the second run.
