Cutterred Flesh have released "The Letter U" through Transcending Obscurity Records.

Twenty five years and seven albums is a long run for a band from a spa town of fifty thousand people. Karlovy Vary is not a scene, and Czech death metal has never had an export industry the way Poland's has, so a band from there reaching a label with worldwide distribution has done it by lasting rather than by being discovered.

What they play has drifted. Metal Archives files the early records as brutal death metal and the later ones as death metal with deathcore in them, which in practice means the grooves got wider and the songs got shorter without the band ever becoming melodic.

Transcending Obscurity have made a business out of exactly this: bands with a decade or two behind them, a following that buys physical records, and no interest in starting again.

Twelve releases sit behind the band, seven of them albums, and the song arrives with no record attached to it yet, which usually means one is close.
