The complete Danzig set from Pinkpop 1995 is online, filmed properly, put there by the festival's own archive channel.
It was 5 June 1995, in Landgraaf, on the north stage. Bad Religion, Slash's Snakepit and the Dave Matthews Band played the same stage that Monday, which is a line-up that could only have happened in the middle of that decade.
What makes it worth an hour is the source. Almost everything that survives from this band in that period is a camcorder in a crowd, three songs long and recorded from the side. A full professionally shot set from 1995 is a different kind of document: it shows the band at the point where the second and third albums were doing the work and before the line-up began turning over.
Pinkpop has been running since 1970 and its archive channel has been working through the tapes for years. This is one of the better things to have come out of it.
