Dawn of Demise have released Feed My Absurdity through Unique Leader Records, their sixth album and the first since 2019, with a visualiser for Reviving Demise alongside it.
Seven years is long enough that a band at this level usually does not come back, and the Danes have never been in a hurry: six albums in twenty three years, each one further into the heavy, slamming end of death metal than the Scandinavian melodic tradition around them.
Unique Leader is the right address for that. The label built its name on technical and brutal death metal from both sides of the Atlantic, and a band from Silkeborg playing this style has more in common with its American roster than with anything in its own country.
Releasing a visualiser on the same day as the record rather than a month before it is the decision of a band that wants the album heard as a whole, and the title track approach to promotion has never mattered much in this corner of the genre. The record is out; the argument is on it.
