Hypocrisy, Napalm Death and Nile head the first announcement for Death Feast Open Air 2027, which is the festival's twentieth edition and its first at the Blaue Lagune in Wachtendonk, Germany.

The live programme runs from 26 to 28 August 2027, with 25 August set aside as an arrival and warm up day. Twenty five bands from twelve countries are confirmed so far, among them Benediction, Gorerotted, Brodequin, Benighted and Gutalax, which puts death metal, brutal death, grindcore and slam across the three days.

The move matters more than a change of car park. Death Feast has spent its recent years in Andernach, and Wachtendonk takes it back to the Lower Rhine, the region where it grew up at Schwarze Heide in Huenxe. The new site is a lake with a beach, swimming and water skiing, which the organisers have turned into the selling line by calling the weekend a death metal holiday.

Early bird tickets have gone. Three day passes are listed at 149 euro, or 179 euro with camping, and more bands are promised.
