Debauchery have put out a piece for War of the Beast Hordes, from the two disc release Schlacht um Knochenheim 1 / Death of the Bloodking that Napalm Records issued on 30 October.
The format is worth explaining because it is not a split in the ordinary sense. One disc is a full Debauchery album, Death of the Bloodking, ten songs long. The other belongs to Balgeroth, and both projects are published through the same channel, which tells you how separate they really are.
Twenty six years into this, the German band have fourteen full lengths and a vocabulary of about six words, all of them blood, beast, bone or war, arranged in different orders. Death and roll was always the point: Entombed riffs played at a tempo a crowd can move to, with lyrics that read like a battle in a tabletop game.
The visual side has been the other half of the act for years, large, cheap in the right way, and not interested in being taken seriously. This one continues that.
The band formed in Tamm, outside Stuttgart, in 2000, and have been on Massacre Records in recent years.
