Decarabion release Desacralization on 11 December through Comatose Music. It is the second album from the Bogota band, six years after Bastard Son of Divinity.
The bonus track is the part worth noticing. It is My Quartered Stepmother, by Purulent, another Colombian death metal band. A brutal death metal act from Bogota reaching for them rather than for Florida is a line drawn back through its own scene, which is not where most bands at this volume point.
The album opens on Aborted Pact Between Heaven And Men and the label describes the method plainly: blast beats and fast guitar work first, structures that get more intricate underneath once the impact has landed. Divine Cleanse Of Every Trace Of Humanity On Earth and Path To Acceleration Of Global Entropy are the fastest of them, and the bass is kept audible beside the guitars instead of being buried, which in this genre is a production decision as much as a musical one.
Sasha Borovykh mixed and mastered it at Tsun Tsun Productions, after Aborted Fetus, Insect Inside and Kraanium. Adi Dechristianize did the artwork, as he has for Demonstealer, Molested Divinity and Old Throne.
