Chile has spent a decade turning out death metal that refuses to soften, and here is the next of it. Deconsekrated release The Inexorable Transcendence of Death, their second album, on 2 October through Nuclear Winter Records, on LP, CD and cassette.
The eight tracks are Purgative Procession, Drowned in the Deep Waters of Phlegethon, Terrifying Manifestation of Malevolence, Towards the Veil of Heretic Plagues, Poisoned Flesh (Mark of the Sinister Path), Under the Rotten Shroud, Oracula Sanguinis (Obsidian Mirrors) and Through the Graves' Portals. The sixth of them, Under the Rotten Shroud, is streaming through the label as the first advance track.
The band write in the classic frame rather than around it, and the label's own description points at where the interest lies: dense arrangements, tempo changes placed where they are not expected, and songs that open out over repeated listens rather than land once. The line-up is Gul Evokator on vocals, Agorh Skullptor on guitar and bass, Padaviast on guitar and Rigor Mortis on drums.
